The magnetic stir bar often begins to "dance" instead of spin for two reasons:

The Yamato MFD magnetic stirrers allow you to effortlessly switch to an overhead stirrer (sold separately) without needing to move the liquid or disturb your setup. This ensures temperature consistency and eliminates the risk of sample contamination.


Are magnetic stirrers only for flat-bottomed flasks?

Your Yamato magnetic stirrer is built with a stronger magnetic field that outperforms competitors by a wide margin. Our stirrable range is 50% wider than other stirrers on the market, allowing you to mix more types of liquids across a variety of containers.
